  • CERTIFICATION CLASSES

     

    • Guardstart
      Guardstart is an introduction to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Program for youth ages 10-14 years old. Students use prevention, fitness, response, leadership, and professionalism to build a foundation of knowledge, attitude, and skills for future lifeguards. Students also learn basic water safety, stroke development, First aid, CPR and Water Rescues.

  • SWIM LESSONS

    Students learn how to enter the water safely, feel comfortable in the water, submerge, explore buoyancy in a front and back position, change body position in the water, and learn about choosing and using life jackets. There are 4 swim levels:

    • Level 1: The objective is to help students feel comfortable in the water and enjoy the water safely. Elementary aquatic skills are taught, which help students learn the fundamentals of swimming as they progress through the four learn to swim levels.
    • Level 2: Students learn to float without support and recover to a vertical position. Students also explore simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back.
    • Level 3: Students learn to coordinate the front and the back crawl. Students are introduced to the elements of butterfly and the fundamentals of treading water. Students also learn rules for headfirst entries.
    • Level 4: Students improve on skills and endurance by swimming familiar strokes for greater distances. Students continue to build on the butterfly and are introduced to the elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and elements of sidestroke. The basics of turning at a wall are also introduced.

    Swim lessons include: Youth, Pre-teen/Teen, Adult Drop In, Mom, Pop, & Tot, and Private

    • Birthday Parties
      Reserve the pool for your children ages 17 and under for two hours minimum with pool side tables and two lifeguards. Additional hours and private room rentals are also available.
